Minor's Property ; Whether minor can acquire property and sell property? Yes, Minor can acquire property from anybody else through his/her natural guardian or legal guardian. However cannot sell the property without obtaining permission from competent court. Legal/Natural guardian can apply for permission to sell minor property from competent court, to disclose the necessity of sale. In addition, consideration should be used for welfare of the minor child. If consideration is not properly used for child's welfare the sale becomes invalid. Petitioner to disclose the necessity and file affidavit before the court, to ensure that the sale consideration is for welfare of the child who has title of the property.
